Client Event: The Lord of the Rings in 90 Minutes — An Unauthorised Comedy
If your summer plans could use a bit more laughter, a bit more Middle-earth, and a lot less sitting indoors, here’s one for the calendar.
For the second year in a row, the variety entertainment legends Lizzie Tollemache, Dan Pengelly (my partner), and Darlene Mohekey, will play a variety of roles in a lighthearted retelling of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy.
And you’re invited to the dress rehearsal, free of charge.
We’ll have nibbles provided, and you’re welcome to bring whatever helps you settle in for a great night in the gardens:

a picnic blanket or camping chairs

a bottle of wine or your favourite drink

an extra layer for later (classic Christchurch move)

This will be a relaxed, family-friendly(ish) summer theatre evening: arrive a bit early, claim a patch of lawn, snack, sip, and sit back and enjoy the show.
